Forum Marketing Resources

Here is a quick post that you should help you with your forum marketing.

If you are not doing forum marketing, this can be a fun and simple way to get your message out there. Forums allow you to share and discuss with others that are interested in your niche. You can make friends, learn a ton about your market and passively drive traffic to your site with your signature.

If you are having trouble finding forums here is one resource: http://rankings.big-boards.com/?p=all There are over 2,000 forums listed here.

You can also do a google search for “your niche” + forum. This will give you a ton of places that you can share your valuable insight with.

One more thing. For those not comfortable with html, you can use this script in your signature file. Just replace “your site address” with your own and “your keyword” with your own.

<a href=”http://www.yoursiteaddress.com”>your keyword</a>

It looks like this when done: your keyword

Take a look at other signatures on the forum to see what others are doing. You may not be able to see signatures right away. Sometimes, the forums require you to hit a certain post count before you can see  or use them.

Marketing online can be loads of fun, but don’t be fooled there is definitely work involved. There are a set number a tasks that you must do each and everyday to make sure that your site stays up there in the eyes of the public. Some days the tasks may seem more difficult to perform than others. This is where you will be tested to make sure that you have what it takes to succeed online.

Once you have your blog setup and ready to go, the next task that you have is to fill that blog with content. This needs to be done on a daily basis. So many times people start out with powerful emotions, hyped up energy, and a gung ho attitude. Typically at some point throughout their marketing efforts, they will begin to feel like a task has become more and more tedious.

It was a quote that I heard a long time ago that “a true leader is revealed when they continue doing the things that they must do long after the feeling to do those things has passed.”

So I ask you, do you have yourself a daily activity plan? This is the unspoken critical piece of the puzzle that you must figure out for yourself. Depending upon the market that you are in, you may have to post daily, or you may get away with posting less often. Regardless of what you find works within your market, you must perform consistently day in and day out.

This is the only way to get enough leverage on the Internet and position yourself as someone knowledgeable and an expert in your field. One of the purposes of posting frequently is that your future customer will continually see your face, see your work, watch your video, and hear your message. If your goal is to rank high in organic search ranking, then the more consistently that you post, and place your message on the Internet, will show the search engines that you have valuable content to share.

In my book on how to brand yourself through WordPress, I discuss with you an evergreen marketing strategy that is a combination of article marketing and form marketing. This is a great place to start for someone new to build trust and a name for themselves. Once you get comfortable with those strategies, then you may add new strategies to your arsenal. But it is very important that you stay consistent with the foundational strategies, build from those, and stay consistent with each level.

I will encourage you to develop a daily activity plan, not a piped up idea of what you would like to do, but a realistic plan to approach that you can accomplish on a consistent, routine basis. I share this with you because I see so many great ideas and sites fall to the side simply because they are not getting the love they deserve.

Believe me, you are the voice that someone needs to hear!

Consistency is much more valuable in the long term than any shotgun approach would ever be. Remember the fable of the tortoise and the hare, long and steady wins the race. Remember, this is a marathon not a sprint. You can do this, you can succeed online, regardless of the business or the company that you represent, through time, dedication, and most importantly, consistency of effort, you will reach your goals.

If you haven’t already grabbed my ebook to get you started branding yourself through WordPress, do yourself a favor, and complete the form to the right.

To success,

Ritchie

You been around network marketing or MLM for sometime now, probably run into the same problem as others before you, not enough leads. You have probably been bombarded with e-mails, after signing up to other peoples lists on how to generate this and how to generate that with all these new social media websites. Before you venture off in those areas, stop and get the basics conquered.

Your company gave you a website, this is a replicated website. This website has no chance of ever positioning itself in any sort of ranking on the Internet. So initially, your goal should be to develop your own website. This can be as simple as creating a MLM blog, which will take you less than hour to set up.

Once the blog is set up, you have to start adding content. The content for your site is based on whatever niche that you may be in. And for the record, everyone, is not your target market. You should narrow it down, drilling down, until you have a market that is hungry to hear what you have to offer.

Each one of us hold something of value that we typically take for granted. Information that we take for granted is commonly “old hat” to us, because we live and breathe it every single day. What is relieving, is to know that what we know, someone else does not know, therefore they will perceive it as value.

Your blog should have a basic setup structure. Obviously you have an area for content, but should also have an area for an opt in form. This is the form that will drive the leads to your list, and allow you to follow up with your list as you present value in the back end through your daily email broadcast.

You should add content to your blog every single day if possible. This will get you in the habit of producing content and get your post count on your blog to a point where your site will be seen as valuable to the Internet. Once you get comments on your blog you should also respond back to those comments, creating a community and interaction with your audience.

This will be generate more of a relationship with your audience, make them more willing to listen to the value that you are presenting, and make them more responsive to the e-mails that you send out to them.

The point behind your blog is to brand you as a person and how you could help them solve their problem in their niche. Only passively presenting your opportunity, typically reserving the promotion of your opportunity to the back end for your e-mail list. This may be counter intuitive to what you want to do, which is basically puke all over your prospects. Trust me throwing up on your prospects will do nothing but push them away. Through daily action in daily contribution to your blog you should generate a steady flow of leads, then follow up with these leads through your email autoresponder.

These leads are the true asset to your business.

List Building-The Key to Long-Term Internet Success

List building is critical to your success on the Internet without learning this skill you are leaving tons of money on the table by allowing your visitors to leave and never hear from them again.

List building is really not that hard. All you have to do is produce valuable content and put that content in the view of a hungry market. So regardless of what your market may be, list building is one of the top three skills you must learn.

There are many autoresponders available in the market today the one I recommend is Aweber. They have been around for a very long time and their rate of deliverability is extremely high.

Once you have an account with aweber you have to create web forms, follow-up e-mails, and also some automatic marketing e-mails. The automatic marketing e-mails are typically like a 7-day boot camp, maybe a 3-day video series, or even has a few tips you send on a daily basis from the initial sign-up.

What this does is allows you to filter out those that are serious from learning from you and those that are dipping their toe in the water. Once you have someone on your list, your initial automatic e-mails will be fulfilling whatever promise you traded them for their e-mail address.

These automatic e-mails should be written in such a way that you are providing value but at the same time you are writing cliffhangers to keep the reader curious for more information. Throughout the e-mail series you will be providing information that all points back to you as a solution provider.

Once you have those e-mails set up and they are past their initial automatic email time, you will begin broadcasting to them on a consistent schedule. This gets the person used to seeing your e-mail and comfortable with opening e-mails that come from your address.

The basic rule is that after 5 or 6 e-mails of producing value, may be linking back to the blog post, a video that you created, or maybe another e-book or something that will benefit the user for free, then you may offer something of commercial value  you are promoting that puts money in your pocket. This will help you not come across as a spammer, and somebody that genuinely has their best interests at heart.

You often hear that this business is the business of relationships, but you may have wondered how to build the relationship on the Internet. The secret is list building, here you have the ability to get into your prospects inbox, share a little bit of time with them everyday, where they grow to like, trust, and respect you.

List building is the backbone of marketing on the Internet. This should be a top priority skill set for you to learn.

How many times have you set in front of your computer screen and wondered what the heck to write about? Well today I made a short video to show you a quick and easy tool that you can use right away to show you exactly what is relevant in the eyes of Google. You may use this strategy for backlinking relevant topics back to your site through either video marketing or article marketing. Or just to brainstorm and maybe find something that you haven’t written about, but is definitely seen to be associated with your topic.

Enjoy the video, and of course, if you have any questions or comments, don’t be shy, post them below.

Developing Your Why In Business

Figuring out why you are in business for yourself is one the most critical, if not the most critical piece to your network marketing puzzle. You hear it said all of the time in trainings and on conference calls, but how many of you have taken the time to figure out truly to the core, why you are in business for yourself.

Many people join a business to make more money, to leave a legacy, maybe to get off their job and work strictly for themselves. These are all great to begin with, but to achieve success long term, you must dig a little deeper. Read the rest of this entry

How to Position Yourself Online

One of the best ways to get more conversions and more leads is to position yourself properly.

Positioning is simply putting yourself out there as an expert and a leader. Every step that you send a prospect through is done with a specific intent to get them to like you, trust you, and see you as an authoritative figure more and more. This can be done in many different ways, and is best done by a combination of all methods. Read the rest of this entry
